A letter arrived on Saturday, by its size I knew that it was a greetings card, felt a bit bulky but then some cards are that way.

I opened the envelope, there was some glitter on the outside of the card but not so much. I opened the card and a LOT of glitter went everywhere, covering me and the carpets and its a sod to pick up, you only notice some pieces when they catch the light. I can see me picking this glitter crap up for days if not weeks.

For those who dont know about these things, and that included me, here is one site that offers this anonymous service:

http://www.glitterretribution.co.uk/

I suspected that I knew who sent the card, and I spoke to a mate to warn him that this person might be sending him a card, he had received one that same day. So I am certain who sent it and have their address.

What cheeses me off is that I dont think what they have done is a crime but if I go round and have a word it will end up as a criminal matter.

What would you suggest, right now I am thinking just forget it and get on.

I believe the traditional retribution is to hammer frozen sausages into the offender's lawn and wait for the local wildlife to enjoy your generosity.

Or, don't say a word, deny all knowledge and ruin the "prank" by never acknowledging it or rising to it. Money wasted for them, moral high ground to you.

But mainly do the sausages thing.

Perhaps you could explain to a soldier who has had his legs and arms blown off by an IED just how much this has inconvenienced your life?

Agreed, this person is a complete nutcase anyway, what else they might do as a further revenge step is anybodys guess.

Thank you all for your advice.

Thats what i was going to say. And if the "perp" ever asks you, or asks someone to ask you, look at them like they are insane.

However, at the same time, do think of a suitable retaliation - but nothing in the post - that would be too obvious.

  • Edit: actually, i heard he wants Pizza tonight. Lots of Pizzas. Cash on delivery, natch.

Not forgetting to cook the sausages you've previously hammered into his lawn over the fire.

There is a business opportunity if I ever saw one. A V8 vacuum for MEN!
