There's fly-tipping, and then there's weird fly-tipping....
Discussion
Very odd, but perhaps not that exciting, for which apologies.
Our front pathway is about 40m long, and pops out in a leafy corner opposite a row of small, but respectable houses.
Doing some tidying up yesterday afternoon, and I find that someone has come about 2m up the path and emptied a hoover bag, and only a small one at that, into the grassy/brambly fenceline at the side of the path.
Makes no sense. The contents would fit into any bin, quite easily. Also - why there?
Only theories I have come with are A) Somebody stopping on the road just there to hoover the inside of their car/van and emptying the bag - but, in plain view of several houses?; or B) Somebody who has an axe to grind with me, deliberately targeting my property for fly tipping - but it's too pathetic a gesture to be a believable theory.
Found it too ludicrous to be cross, but would love to know (I probably never will). Theories?
(I also found a very new-looking Blackberry, now rendered completely non-working by the rain. Very odd)

Probably aliens.
Wildlife theory - it did cross my mind, but whilst there is a fair bit of fluff there - useful for nesting etc - there is also a lot of dust, which I imagine would be difficult for the wildlife to transport.
Passing car w/car hoover theory - too far from road, would have to stop, on a sharp bend, overlooked by a number of houses, walk across pavement and a short distance up path. There are also a number of much more likely tipping locations nearby.
So. Aliens.
The truth is out there.

Perhaps somebody emptied out their hoover bag to make room for all the blackberries they had spotted in your hedge. They obviously missed the one that you found.
