....tomorrow morning!

No warning, worldwide and couldn't be turned back on.

What would be both the short and long term consequences?

Short term.... everyone would have to actually do some work.
Long tem... companies profits and efficiency would go thru the roof.

I'd start a Facebook rehab clinic.

Make a fortune.

First thing I'd do is turn my router on and off. wink

Long term I'd probably read more books. Actual paper books from a real book shop.

I see nobody's taking this seriously. Books? Shops? Money?

Forget it.

Card transactions wouldn't be authorised in atms and shops, banks wouldn't be able to verify your account balance easily and wouldn't have the staff or the physical cash to hand it out, big shops would struggle ordering the stock correctly...

Best to start panic buying now!

Many of us would breathe a sigh of relief. Perpetual and deep-felt. Like Humanity had been given another chance.

A bit dramatic! I'm sure we'd cope after a period of mild chaos.

No it'd be global warming.

Blaming it on an older religion is to create stricter rules for the populace.

Blaming it on a new religion is to create ways of taking money from the populace.
