Now that we're starting to see a bit of sun I'm tempted to add to my existing pair of aviators.

Looking at Rayban and Persol and I'm seeing a massive variance in price when looking on Google Shops.

As in £77 - £180 for the same thing.

Any suggestions on who should be avoided and who can be trusted please?

I've ordered a couple of things from Smartbuyglasses - currently have a pair of Maui Jims on the way (all the way from HK as it happens...), and have ordered a pair of prescription Persols from them without issues. If you sign up for their email you'll get discount codes, and if you buy via Quidco you can end up with 5-7% cashback, which combined saved me about £30 quid on the pair I just ordered.

Have also bought from Amazon - quite often their prices are competitive if you look around and don't necessarily need to buy today.

would be interested to see how the Persols turn out. I've been looking at some prescription ones too but have not heard of this site.

Have had them for about 18 months, without any issues - the lenses I chose weren't the bargain basement ones, but haven't had any issues with the presciption or anything like that.

I'm normally a bit cautious about which website to choose, but given that Quidco has them listed (and I'm assuming they do some sort of due diligence...) then I figured they were OK to use, and so far they have been.

Cheers for that.

Arrived today (despite the last bit being handled by Yodel...), and all good. Not knock-offs, and properly boxed with warranty, etc. Paid about £85 less than full RRP after discount codes and cashback.

With the quality of fakes these days, how do you know the Persols are genuine?
