I've just realised that I don't know anyone at all called George! For work reasons I've got masses of names in my phone - about ten Steves for example, stacks of Pauls, I've even got a couple of Erics and two Gavins! But no Georges.

Where've they all gone all of a sudden?

very popular kids name, i'm guessing you don't know many people under 10 years old.

Our George moved to Oxford. We are now Georgeless too.
Except for Mr George, but I'm guessing surnames don't count.

I think he's still a bit poorly from his substance addiction, but hopefully he'll back singing again very soon. That's the trouble with having the free drinks at Club Tropicana.

I have a nephew called George (9yrs old)
Also had two uncles in the past ,both long gone ,both were 90 + years old .
It's one of those names that seems to go in and out of fashion .
The numbers increased after royal births .

I think when they get there, they have to change their name to 'Bruce'.

I have worked with two Georges in recent years, one is very nice and I still work with him, but the other was horrible.

So is ours - he was a kitten that belonged to a neighbour who died so we ended up with his cat, the neigbhour was called George so the cat ended up with the same name. He was in his late fifties.

As for real, alive folk, I know one, a former work colleague who retired two weeks ago, aged 64.
