It’s seller beware as eBay’s buyer guarantee is exploited by scammers

At last, maybe Ebay have woken up. We have been telling eBay that it has a serious problem for years. Now it is going to do something about it

We've all heard all about the buyer who claims that what you sent wasn't correct in some way or other, and almost all got a full refund at the sellers expense, and Ebay wouldn't help the seller at all. Now it maybe about to come to an end.

Ebay are a joke of a company (no matter how successful they may be). I've never used ebay as I know too many poeple who have had terrible experiences trying to deal with them when things don't go smoothly.

One thing does strike me as odd though. If you sell a high value item and you get scammed by the buyer and then ebay, surely you have the address it was sent to. Why aren't more people turning up on peoples doorsteps? It would be worth the traval and inconvenience over 600 quid. Can the police not be involved over matters like this? Surely its theft?

HAPPENS A LOT! buyers know they can,t lose,luckily most buyers are genuine but as always a minority exploit ebay,super buyer protection.I get a fair share of idiots doing this over the years,add them as a favourite seller or check to see if they are selling,buy their item and do the same back, you won't lose your money,no matter what you do.

why do people think the only resort is to go through paypal to claim money back/ fight your corner.
