I have some German medals from WW2 that I acquired in the mid to late 2000's.

Does anyone know where I can get them valued and possibly sold?

They are genuine.

Thanks all.

A specialist war memorabilia auction. If they are rare then all the better.

Right, I quite clearly forgot about this thread until today.

Pics of medals below. I'm getting them valued by a shop in London.

Medals are (in no specific order, and probably not by picture order):

1. Mothercross Bronze
2. Iron Cross
3. Narvik Shield
4. Third Reich War Merit Cross With Swords
5. Infantry Assault Silver
6. Panzer Assault Silver.

Have you considered trying to identify a German based dealer?
You may get a higher valuation in their home country.

Funnily enough I popped in to our local antiques shop on Wed and they were having a coins & medals valuation day. Spoke to the chappie doing it and just out of interst mentioned my Grandad's German Iron Cross and asked what it was worth. He told me he won't buy them, there's so many fakes about he can't tell real from forgery and there's very few who can. Same with many medals, hard to verify truth. He reckoned the IC was worth £50 if you're lucky. Coins and dated medals are a bit easier. I know Grandad brought the IC back to UK in 1918, but how do you prove it?

My great grandfather went down with his ship in the battle of Narvik, I guess that medal was their reward for winning.

That was a brave move - is there an interesting back story?
