The technicalities of which are being discussed in the IT section but......

After a heated argument with ex wife, split 7 years ago, her idea, she lives in house with our 3 kids and her boyfriend who she has been with nearly 7 years, I vented to my girlfriend of only a few months.

Said some things and girlfriend being supportive added a few of her own.

So ex has snooped and been privy to all our chats and lord knows what else thus is very upset

vs

Invasion of my privacy.

Which is the greater wrong.

What FB posts should have said:
When do you think I should tell her about me and her sister?

What was said was said privately between you and your girlfriend and your ex-wife had absolutely no right (or indeed reason) to read them.

What did she expect, you telling your girlfriend how much you wanted to have a fourth child together!?

Non of this is going well. The internet brought us together and now might drive a wedge.

Had to tell the girlfriend what happened and now she is saying she doesn't want to be the other woman and tear a family apart. Great!!

There's a thread on here about not recognising posters etc.

Croyde has ALWAYS come across as being the downbeaten partner trying to look after the kids and dealing with adversity ( heart attack if I recall).

Please don't accept her problems.

Be happy with new Mrs Croyde and ignore it

A bit of a piss take to be honest Croyde. You've given up the house and had to see some bloke take the marital bed whilst you were picking up your pieces trying to get somewhere. Her reading your posts is completely wrong and her then having the audacity to get annoyed after this whole fiasco just takes the piss some more. I can guarantee she's said stuff about you to her boyfriend, so the double standards here reek.

I'm a bit confused,

Why on earth does your girlfriend think she's breaking your family up? Your ex is with someone else and so are you.

Or Is your behaviour, or concern about upsetting your ex, somehow making your girlfriend think you might get together with your ex?

Are you trying to get back together with your ex?

Your ex has no right to snoop on you.
You have every right to have a girlfriend.

My gf asked me only a few days ago if my ex would want to get back with me. Shudder at the thought was part of my long reply. It was also the reply read by my ex.

The "breaking up the family" comment threw me too.

Bloody women. I had given up before I found this one. If this fails I'm chopping it off.

Often one partner gets upset after a divorce and the othet meets someone. Perhaps this is just that. She's seeing you move on and is unhappy, regardless of who ended what in you marriage.

Well either way, hope it all works out, you seem like a great bloke croyde.

As said, you've always seemed like a good bloke and she has no right to read it. Grass her up if you want, I understand that it's illegal.

I also can't see why she's angry. She's off with your house, children and a new boyfriend. You have every right to move on as you desire.

I'm confused how she managed to read the messages. Also I'd be using something a little difficult to access like iMessage or WhatsApp to talk about those things!!

I really think if you've got a new bird, contact between ex and you should be minimal and ONLY about children if you have them, otherwise it's cut off time.

If there's hard proof of the ex snooping on your personal life, I'd be tempted to get her in trouble with the police. She must have some issues or not be over you to want to continue keeping up on your life!!

She has probably been spying on you the whole time.

Shopping her will achieve nothing, but you should treat her as a stalker - change all your passwords, delete your social media accounts and create new ones outside her circle if necessary. Contact the ex only re: the kids. Move on, and make it stick.
