Just thought I'd have a rant about the sky underhand tactics newspapers adopt using sensational or over the top headlines to get you to click on the article, thus eventually increasing their advertising revenue.

Two examples from the last few weeks:-

"RYAN GIGGS ORDERED OUT OF OLD TRAFFORD"

It turns out ex Goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel feels Giggs would be better getting some experience in the lower divisions before attempting to take on the huge United job.

"JOSE MOURINHO INTERESTED IN PORT VALE MANAGERS JOB"

Apparently he has been "advising" the Port Vale chairman who to appoint as their new manager...

Of course I wasn't daft enough to fall for it, someone else told me....

I was actually thinking about starting a topic on this. The ones I hate the most I tend to see on Facebook, which look like they could be interesting but it's just the usual bks on a website slowed the hell down by ads all over the place

Top 17 shocking nekked photos of hotties, or top 29 funniest cat pictures.

Each photo on a page dripping with ads, my new pet hate of the last few years.

Speaking of ad's I hate sites that, on mobile at least, insist with ridiculously sized pop ups you can't find the x for and auto-playing videos that blare out crap about whatever they're trying to flog.

Was pondering starting a thread on this myself,

Is this crap mandatory for even decent websites to carry this crap ?

"What the photographer caught next is unbelievable", usually accompanies by a picture of a woman in underwear with a significant hint you may see her naked if you click further.

"The secret Diabetes cure that doctors dont want you to know about", there was a doctor on the radio the other days saying that if there was a cure then they would tell everyone as they are sick to the tits of the number of people with Diabetes these days, they most definitely would not keep it to themselves.

then there was one of a fat lady bending over in leggings and her "Cletftal Horizon" was covered in flies, thankfully that has gone now ?

I can't stand the pages where you have to click to see the next image/page. I'm pretty sure the thread on car keys in GG has a link to the world's nicest car keys, where each entry is on a separate page. I'd much rather scroll through one page, rather than spend time waiting for each advert-ridden page to load. In most cases, I get fed up before reaching the top 5 and just close the site!

The ones that get on my tits all have a certain style of wording - as if they're all done by the same person. They're so annoying that I've never clicked on one but they have the same sort of "tone"

eg.

"She looked in the crocodiles mouth, what she saw will melt your heart"
"What this fireman did with this kitten will blow your mind"
"When you see what is inside this shed you will spaff your pants".

Can't explain it, but it bugs me.

I hate the ones that feature interesting photos/facts but they are "hidden" in amongst a load of adverts. e.g. "10 Interesting Places that are blurred out on Google Earth...." try to get to number 9 and you end up on a website selling women's make-up banghead
