Hard to get an idea of scale but it looks like cable conduit of some kind?

Looks like a busbar cover from a consumer unit, possibly MK?

The old ones are the best guys smile

(I had just picked it up from the film, "Spies Like Us" when I was channel hopping earlier, so was fresh on my mind, it was quoted totally out of context in the film, but was brilliant IMO anyway. (The response in the film was a wee bit less rude, apparently it is used for pissin smile )

Tell the truth, OP, you're just laughing at the thought of all those laptops getting turned upside down. Top trolling laugh

Cheers guys

My consumer unit was fiddled with a while back, does it need to be fitted or just a nice to have?

Underneath the cover is a big copper bar that is live, this cover stops numptys (who shouldn't really have the cover off) touching it, so it should really be fitted.

But on the other hand, unless you go poking bodily parts inside, it wont cause any harm.
