We've got a 3/4 size violin, a child's bike and a decent child's desk we want to get rid off.
They're all in decen condition but will obviously need picking up.
Money isn't the primary motive, my Wife wants them to carry on being "useful".
I've used eBay in the past but no where else.
Any tips on the best place to sell them?

get better results from the local Facebook "things for sale in......" in my recent experience.

you do have to deal with some mouth breathers however.

Local Facebook groups can be good, we've sold and bought a few things through them without any problems.

So I've never used the Facebook "things for sale" before.
I had a quick search and found a local group. Do I just post details there and hope for best?.p
Thanks

Essentially yes. Be prepared for people to haggle though, I normally add a bit on to the price I actually want.

There are normally a few selling pages, search for "your town" car boot and also buy & sell thumbup

Preloved is another option

Shpock (sp?) could be worth a look as well

Gumtree & Preloved have worked well for us in the past, and TBH not had to deal with any of the great unwashed

Got some old Lego on Preloved at the moment. First guy wants me to knock it down by £50. So, not free of tossers here either.

flogging old tatt on gumtree makes me end up wanting to burn it on principle that most of the respondents don't deserve it or nice things in general.

Gumtree actually isn't bad, especially if you can't be arsed to sort postage.

The quality of person contacting you is pretty special though, it continually amazes me!
