..Does anyone know of a customisable app or website plugin or whatever they're called, where basically a customer can get an instant quote online by entering sizes and quantities, but it also automatically calculates discount on higher volumes ordered.. I want one for a new website I'm building for printed banners, where the larger the banner/quantity they select, the lower the cost per sq/m that gets automatically calculated.. I've no idea about writing html code or anything, just want something 'off the shelf' that can be embedded to the website (WIX)... THANKS!!

How many variations are you talking? You may struggle with an off the shelf and you may also struggle implementing into WIX. How often would you need to update?

Might be better asking in the "Computers and Gadgets" board.

Shouldn't be too tricky to code, if you want it integrating with order/billing then it could be a bit harder.

Never used WIX, sounds like a turn key solution and may not be as customisable as a wordpress e-commerce solution.

This is what I thought...

Do you have a spreadsheet showing what you want?

Thanks for the responses... I've not got this in excel, I'm chatting with someone at Calculoid who maybe able to help.. I've posted this in the computers forum as well already..

What I am trying to achieve is, I supply printed PVC/Mesh?Fabric banners and I want the customer to be able to get an instant price on the website, but they don't buy online..

I have slider bars for the sizes:
Width
X
Height
x
Quantity
=
Total sq/m

I then want the formula to calculate the cost, i.e. the total sq/m x £X

so as an example:

If the total sq/m is =<20 then the total price to display is (total sq/m x £12) if the total sq/m is 21-40 then the total price to display is (total sq/m x £11) if the total sq/m is 41-80 then the total price to display is (total sq/m x £10)

And so on…

Whilst not the same line of work, maybe have a look at Moraware. It's designed for quoting granite benchtops and works off of square footage.

Not too sure how adaptable it is as we've only just got it and our office lady is too lazy to set it up.

Thats the kind of problem presented to first year computer science students.

var squaremetres = width x height;

var cost = 12;
if(squaremetres > 20)
cost = 10;

var price = cost x squaremetres;

What do I win?

Bit of jQuery UI and you're sorted.

Only bit which would take time is making it look pretty and most likely wrestling with the WIX configuration.

My mate Jon is very good and reasonably priced (2 my band been going for years as opposed to an agency witha £600 daily rate).

Give him a shout through his companies website.
