Hello all.

Me and the wife would like to sponsor an underprivileged childs education maybe two. It's something we've talked about doing for a couple of years but with various things going on we've never really had the means.

Does anyone already do this? A quick bit of research suggest that Children International is possibly my best bet.

I'm open to other suggestions as I would like a big portion of not all the miney I donate to go to said child. I'm not interested in donating to a large charity that will spread my money thinly but one that will invest more in one child so that its more likely to make an actual difference!

We do this for a child in Uganda. We pay the school directly (via a UK scout leader). Our money allows her to board at the school (common in Uganda)

My wife has visited Uganda and met Rebecca, we get periodic reports and replies to our kids letters when then write to her.

pm me if you want any further details, etc
