For me two things.

STATIONERY. I absolute hate buying it either for my business or home. And yet find I can get by scavenging loads, never buy Biros, staples, Blu tac even paper. I just make do or acquire it by various means.

PARKING. Owning businesses with free car parks really puts me off paying for the privelege of. I get very creative with my parking (sometimes too creative) and don't mind walking if I can't get near where i want to be but hate meters and controlled parking.

What purchasing phobias do others have?

Cashpoint charges.

I'll always avoid if possible but have been caught once or twice. Were they reasonable, it wouldn't be so bad, but recently saw one at £2.25 which is simply taking the pi55!

What happened to turning up, and getting allocated a seat upon check in?! Why don't they just allocate you A seat when you check in online?

My wife's monthly haircuts and fortnightly nail bo11ocks! But it's not worth the argument. Technically she pays for 30% of each given our salaries. It's not like I notice a difference.

I'm with you on the parking, always feel like I'm being ripped off wherever it is and if I'm not in a hurry (i.e. not with the wife) I'll always look for some free parking down a side street or somewhere else. Especially riles me when parking for the swimming pool and the shops. I'm spending money with you therefore subsidise my parking. Probably why I avoid town centre shopping wherever possible.

Generally refuse to buy carrier bags even if I've forgotten to bring one in from the car.

Toilets anywhere, basic human right.

I'm sure there's other stuff I'll think of in a bit.

Air at the garage.
I know it takes electricity to drive the pump, and there is the service of the kit and repair when someone drives over the connector.

But air should be free.

confused They do? But if it's not the seat you want, then you have to pay to change it, unless you've bought the higher-rate fare. I do agree it's annoying, but BA aren't the only ones to do it, almost all carries do this now-a-days.

I'm not a fan of paid on-street parking either. I can understand the charge for a purpose built car park, but on-street parking is a rip off. Where I used to live introduced on-street charges for the first time to encourage people to use the park & ride on the outskirts of town, which after a year of operating then introduced a charge to park in their car park whilst you used their P&R service. It cost more to park and then pay for the bus than it did to park on-street and pay the charges!

We took the kids to London last Tuesday, my 12yr old lad was amazed that you had to pay 30p to use the gents @ Waterloo station, even though they didn't charge for him.

As above, also hate paying for Hotel WiFi & auto added tips.

This, got caught short at Charing Cross on Friday evening - the station turnstiles you can pull toward you slightly and go through

Had the same issue when taking my brother (has SEN) to the loo at the trocadero - I must have been ~16 and him 11 or so, cleaner on duty wouldn't let him though and we had no cash on us - parents were upstairs. Ended up telling him to wee on the barrier...when the guy noticed what was about to happen he soon got the message but wouldn't open the turnstile, I lifted him over to continued protestations whilst I asked him what he was going to do then. 30 seconds later, with business finished he came back and we left, still haven't been back!
