So next week I'm completely free to do anything I want but have no idea what to do..

This might seem strange but I've never been in this position before. Recently single, pet recently passed away, all mates are working, parents are away so I can't visit.

The world is my oyster but I could do with some ideas so I don't feel like I've wasted the time.

Help a guy out smile

Can you repaint the hallway in my flat please? Shouldn't take more than a couple of days leaving you free to explore other PH suggestions.

Grab your tent or b&b and head to Cornwall/north Devon . Book lessons , learn to surf. Fantastic weather and surf forecast.

Can recommend croyde or widemouth bay.

Cheap and fun.

No idea where you are in the UK but I find a guy can easily lose a day at the National Railway Museum in York.

You could post some more in here - 1 post per month is not enough wink.

Last minute flight somewhere you'll like would get my vote smile.

I start a new contract in October after 8 months ( intentionally) off. I'm prob gonna leave wife and kids and go for a few days. It's a rare occurrence of hot weather and great waves.

Jump in your car, drive for 2/3/4/5 hours randomly, get lost. Arrive in unknown town, book a hotel and spend the next day exploring. Check out of hotel and do the same thing all over again. Only use sat nav in an emergency.

I'd agree with the Cornwall suggestion whilst we're still hanging onto a bit of summer.

I might do the same for a weekend coming.

I just fancy driving to Land's End.

Last year I did a language course on my own in Montpellier and it was a great experience. I had French classes for a few hours in the morning, beach/park/lake in the afternoon, and spent the evenings wondering around the bars of Montpellier. To top it off I made a host of new friends from all over the world.

Book cheap tunnel crossing.
Blitz down through half of France. Turn off and amble for five days.

Blitz home having eaten and drunk your fill.
Even better, fly to Pisa, drive south and do the same. Except fly home.

PH response; SE Asia - coke and friends 5 days and fly home.

Personally Scotland, hillwalking and canoeing plus steak an whisky, but that is just me...

Don't sit at home and watch the walls tho. Your call, but report back....

Get up at 3am, get the roof down, seat heaters on and drive to somewhere you've never been to. Early morning drives are by far the best.
