Just wondering what everyone's OCD is?

Mine is that all my shirts, t-shirts and jeans have to be hanging in the right order and way.

Another one is that I need to get a run in during the day or the craziness will get me.

In all seriousness leaving work at the right time. I start very early and if I am so much as 5 minutes late leaving I start to get stressed about how short my evening will be!

Yeah, this really isn't an OCD.

Yeah, let's make light of a serious mental condition.

A bit. I've got GU10 downlighters in my bathroom and main bedroom. I'm paranoid about leaving them on - got a thing about if they're left on for hours they'll heat up the dust and whatnot in the loft and eventually catch fire (particularly since the loft was boarded over).

I don't know if that's a reasonable fear, but the OCD bit is I have to come back upstairs and check that they're off five or more times before I can leave the house. It irritates me so hate to think what it's like for anyone waiting for me!

I've actually taken to checking they're off and then taking a quick phone snap that I can check to reassure myself once I've finally made it out the door (after checking it is locked several times).

I've also switched the bulbs to LED thinking they'd run cool, but actually the body of them (the bit that pokes into the loft) still gets hot, so that hasn't helped.

Nope. But my father did so it's likely to transmit. I am on the neater side of things, unnecessary messiness or sloppy work is irritating as fk. That's more intolerance of an inability to apply basic common sense and cleanliness, than OCD. Never been tempted to check the lock 5 times or touch the doorframe 7 times before leaving.

My wife got some washing in earlier that I'd put on the line this morning.

She pointed out that although we have 3 different style of clothes peg (wooden, plastic two piece and plastic single piece) I'd managed to ensure that I hadn't mixed pegs on single items of laundry.

I didn't even realise I'd done it.

Exactly.

This thread should be renamed "who's the most pedantic clown"

Mrs Puggit I'd my OCD...

Everything has to be correct. From alternating colour clothes pegs on the washing line to the way beds are made.

I only have to make a 10% effort and then leave a job, knowing she'll correct it. If I do 99%, she'll correct it - so why bother?

I do the same, I also match the socks in pairs in the line, all my shirts hang up facing the same direction in the wardrobe.

I don't think it's OCD, just attention to detail. The ex always said I had OCD because of the mentioned traits and many others but again I just think I pay attention to stuff.

Proper OCD is far more serious I imagine.

Yeah,
Each item of clothes must have a pair of the same colour pegs.
Either 2 blue, or 2 pink, or 2 yellow,
