So with the increase from £2 to £2.50, and an increase in numbers to pick, with less chances of winning, who will still be play the Euromillions from next week. I have already cancelled my DD in protest, not that it will make difference.
Stopped playing the Lottery for the same reasons.

With all these people giving up their direct debits, surely there is now much more opportunity for the likes of me, who never plays, to have a better chance!
One of my colleagues believes (and will strongly argue) that there's so little chance of winning the lottery jackpot that you can say it's effectively the same whether you do it or not!Sheepshanks said:

My wife's uncle firmly believes that its a fix as well. They know what tickets have been bought before the draw, they therefore know how to program the machine to spit out the balls so that they have their big jackpot at certain times to make the most money from all the ticket sales.
Would be a better cover-up than the moon landing

I play the Thunderball, had more wins with that to be honest.
Hopefully they do not change that as well.
Half a million would suit me, enough to semi retire, and get my dream Caterham.
Same here, I occasionally do the Euromillions or the lottery but mainly just stick with a Thunderball lucky dip for just a quid.Hopefully they do not change that as well.

I find this funny. The change from £2 to £2.5 has stopped you
Any idea In the betting odds what the difference is? Why worry about 50p. what fun are you getting from all those £2's in the year, that wouldn't be equally served with one less £2 every four bets?
Plus the change off adding another 10 numbers. Chance of winning has gone from 1 in 14million to 1 in 45million.

The problem is that the game has become part of the national psychology. People have a habit of playing, and many have regular numbers that they play each time, so they feel they cannot risk stopping now - in case they miss out on a prize.
