I bought a MicroSD card that purported to be 64GB from a guy on eBay.
Was slightly odd inasmuch as shortly after I purchased the item via a Buy it Now I had an email from eBay saying the listing had been removed -
"We're writing to let you know that we've removed an item you recently won:
172296693791 - Samsung 64GB EVO plus 80MB/s MicroSD SDXC class 10 Memory Card Adapter New
Since you've already paid for the item, you don't need to do anything else. If your item hasn't arrived yet, it should arrive soon. If it doesn't, then you'll want to open a case in our Resolution Centre. You can learn how to do this, plus find timelines for opening cases, at..."

Anyway, the card arrived and I stuck it in my phone and tried to copy my music files across. It kept having transfer errors, so I plugged the card into an adaptor and into my laptop and tried to transfer the files onto it that way.
When that didn't work i checked the capacity via Properties and it was showing as only 197MB. Anything more than that returned a transfer error.

So I applied to return the item through eBay's return procedure, and waited for a return address from the seller. No contact from him at all and now, as 30 days have elapsed, I've received an email from eBay saying:

"The return for Samsung 64GB EVO plus 80MB/s MicroSD SDXC class 10 Memory Card Adapter New # 172296693791 has been closed."

So what now? I've got a dodgy card and he's got my money.

Sure you don't have the refund?

Seems pretty clear cut to me, eBay have (most likely) removed the item as they have reason to believe it's a fake.... You have the item and can confirm its fake.

Why would they not give you the refund?

I find live chat quite useful for eBay.

Or if you paid by PayPal open a pp dispute.

I think you have to click again in the resolution centre to escalate it. And if the buyer hasn't replied eBay will almost certainly return in your favour. I think they assume if you don't escalate you're happy.

Worth contacting them but you may have lost out on this one by letting it tick b.
