Removed topic- petition for cancer research

Hello, I put up a thread asking for people to sign a petition to fund research into childhood "DIPG" tumours- my friends 6 year old, Kaleigh, has an inoperable one- and after 3 pages of brilliant PHers signing and sharing, it's been removed?

We don't allow canvassing for support or charity on the forums, however deserving the cause.

Honestly, like a punch in the stomach just as people were signing and raising awareness. Gutted, PH, really gutted.

I think the risk is that if they allowed it, the forums would be filled with them, which in turn would reduce reader numbers.

That is their view if I recall. I don't necessarily agree - and maybe there is a case for a charity forum where such posts could go.

Best to raise with the mods offline, as it is clear in the posting rules.
