I suspect it's a flight of fantasy.

That is a big nope from me.

Light aircraft and helicopters are a nope, adding cheap electronics into the equation is an even bigger nope.

I don't like travelling in the big commercial helicopters that I used to, so no fking way would I get in that!

Needs a parachute on top in case of power failure.

Seems legit.

Excellent dynamic balance and wind resistance assures a smooth and steady flight even in windy condition.

When you land, step out, blades still spinning, lose the bottom half of your legs! Good times haha.

I suffered the same level of disappointment when somebody promised they would show me a "man eating chicken".

It will happen at some point. Agreed it will need some sort of safety backup, but if it's light then an emergency parachute could be all that's needed. The idea of taking off from my (rural) back garden in Suffolk and then landing on the roof of my North London office building around an hour later is very appealing. 10 years maybe I reckon.

Out of curiosity, once you add a chair does it not become a <450kg microlight and is then hit by a literal wall of red tape & safety legislation? Cant see this working, not legally atleast. 1 death or serious injury they will be sued into oblivion.

Parachutes need altitude to deploy. If you fell from 100 feet - you're dead.

The moment somebody flies in one of those, ( if it is for real ) it ceases to be a drone and becomes a manned rotorcraft/ helicopter/ whatever.

A drone is a remotely piloted unmanned aircraft.
