I've seen a lot of alternative currency referencing on PH of late.
Earlier in the week, someone said something they pay for only has a difference of a 'Costa coffee' a month. I've just seen someone say their GAP only cost the equivalent of 'a Pizza Express' a year.
As someone who is boring, has mental issues and never frequents these joints, I don't know what these mean in real life. Could someone explain the value of these in real monetary terms?
Also, anyone know of any other currency examples being used on here?
I guess some people work in property. I.e., got a new boat the other day and it cost 10 BTL's. Etc.
'Six figs' is a classic (and I'm sure they aren't referring to the fruit).

I think these observations or comparisons originated from the advertising industry.
For pennies a day, we can.....
For the price a xxxxx, we can.....
So since this is PHFor pennies a day, we can.....
For the price a xxxxx, we can.....
