I'm intrigued about the random times lurkers seem to pipe up, and it feels like it's getting more frequent. Been members for nearly 10 years without a post; how do they go so long without posting? How often do they actually visit? Why do they decide a particular thread is the one for them to break the silence? Like the guy who'd been lurking for 10 years and his first post is in the thread about knowing evil people about a kid from primary school who turned into a drugged up psychopath?

I lurked for a few years and my first post was something totally random on a SOTW thread ... hadn't really noticed I was lurking until that point, just hadn't realised I'd never posted anything... I was very active on other marque specific forums though

I signed up under 2 different names/emails, as I do on all forums, in case I ever want to post something that I didn't want linked to my "main" login. Maybe they did the same,

I lurked for 3 years without really posting.

I joined as I very nearly bought an MX5, sale didn't happen but I stayed just observing, whilst I used a different forum to post on and ask questions.

That forum ended up here and I felt like I needed somewhere to impart my wisdom on the lesser folk and help where I can....which isn't very much!
