Safety deposit boxes. Totally anonymous??
Discussion
I have no experience in this matter what so ever, but in today's day and age of paper trails and the all knowing computer, I would be very suprised if a big company/bank let you wonder in off the street, give them a wedge of notes and get a key to a deposit box with no questions or paperwork.
it depends where you want it from in all honesty as there are various relatively secure storage solutions where there is no ID needed and they are protected by camera but in quite public areas where all you need is funds to physically gain access
alternatively I have used a couple of larger storage solutions without providing ID before (just a name and address, verbally) and paid for 12mths lease on my card ... job jobbed

Just curious, for reasons I won't go into, but if one wanted to stash something small away, totally anonymously, for a period of time, can one obtain the use of a safety deposit box which cannot be traced??
A bank wouldn't allow this and any reputable safety deposit box company wouldn't either - they'd have to confirm your identity when you started renting one. You wouldn't have to give them a full inventory of what's in the box but it would be linked to your name and address. This would be the case in the U.K. anyway.

They'll just find you from your card details which are linked to a bank which is linked to you. Should have paid cash. alternatively I have used a couple of larger storage solutions without providing ID before (just a name and address, verbally) and paid for 12mths lease on my card ... job jobbed
Or. Do what I do. Have 2 properties, have everything linked to one. The other property is in someone else's name. You get no post to where you live but still have an 'address' where everything is registered. Nobody will be able to find me, unless they follow me from one property to another. The link between the 2 is not there.
