Just had an interesting conversation with my brother who has shocked me by saying that most of his friends have cheated on their partners. I don't know if anyone would admit to this over the internet but what he has told me has appalled me. I have never cheated on anyone. It's not just men that are to blame either as it seems a lot of women do. He said the worst behaviour he has seen has been whilst they are away on business trips. It seems the longer the marriage/relationship the more likely adultery will happen.

Id say about 70% of the men i know as friends have cheated at some point. they may calm down a little as they get older and into more long term relationships. But given opportunity and the right looking women i imagine most would again if they felt they could get away with it.

In my mid 20s on stag dos etc there were a handful of mates who definitely wouldn't cheat, and i believed them as they were pretty consistent when opportunities arose.

Women wise slightly harder to be certain. But many a relationship has been broken because she was found to have cheated at some stage.

So i would guess the likelihood of someone cheating is similar regardless of their sex.

Suppose it depends how attractive your other half is as well. If you have got a dog ugly partner then you will not have that attraction. Let's be honest you need some level of attraction for sex

Not in every case. Have mates with wife's / gf who would be considered stunning by most.

Didn't stop my mates hoping into bed with other women.

My mates were not looking for new partners. They simply wanted sex with others. As such looks of their gf & wife's were not the key factor.

Did their relationships full apart because of the cheating or did the partners never find out?

I would argue it the other way - if you're accustomed to hot totty then you have a greater propensity to cheat on that basis - because beauty fades after a while or you get used to it. Happens all the time in the celebrity world.

No matter how stunning a wife/fiancé/girlfriend may be .... there is always some bloke sick of shagging her and looking to dip his wick elsewhere sadly

I know at least 4 of my female friends who have had affairs within the wider circle of friends they are in.

Some of them married, some in long term relationships.

Horrible how? I'm curious, being the understanding bloke who still has a damp shoulder from crying girls who were with horrible bds.

I cheated on my ex left right and center. I'm not proud. My pals used to call me "morally bankrupt" and it started to be a bit of a reputation that boosted my ego. I'm not proud of it.

Are you the "friend"?

You were and probably still are proud. Beeing able to seduce and have sex with women boosts one's masculine credentials.

Possibly, who knows. But it cost me everything I had and that's a valid lesson I learnt. I wouldn't make the same mistake again because I wouldn't stay with someone didn't love anymore.

Seduction is a strange word.
