0212 telephone number?
Discussion
just got a slightly suspicious email, talking about an invoice, ostensibly from a company I have made a credit card purchase from, with the sum matching my last purchase from them
it has an attached pdf which I haven't opened, and a contact number for the accounts dept which doesn't match the Glasgow area code of the actual company, it gives an 0212 number - what is this, a dodgy number or what? I can't find anything with a quick google

I would call the company directly and speak to someone, to me it sounds dodgy, if it isnt genuine they need to know so they can warn their customers, I doubt very much you are the only person that the fraudsters have attempted phishing on.it has an attached pdf which I haven't opened, and a contact number for the accounts dept which doesn't match the Glasgow area code of the actual company, it gives an 0212 number - what is this, a dodgy number or what? Thousands of football fans were sent a scam email asking them to pay a bill after a Scottish Football Association database was apparently hacked.
An invoice for £170 was sent to subscribers to the Scotland Supporters Club mailing list just after 09:00.
The email - addressed "Dear Customer" - provided a link for payment, which was a disguised website address.
