Blimey!...that's cheap....biggrin

Normally Mrs WR does all the shopping, and tbh, I wouldn't have a clue how much a loaf of bread or even a pint of milk was, but I've just been in Lidl and bought:-

5 x two litre bottles of diet lemonade.

I large packet of milk chocolate digestives

I packet of ginger nuts.

£1.69

This isn't a plug for Lidl especially, maybe the prices are similar in the competition, but I would have expected at least three or four quid.

Cool story bro' etc.........

You were robbed! At those prices you should have paid 1.69p (not £1.69) wobble

The dohbi waller in this house always uses "Comfort" fabric conditioner, a 3 litre one hovers between £4 and £5.

The other week in Tescos it was £1.98 thinking wrongly priced had it scanned, right enough it was £1.98, bought 6 of them. Next day back to £5.00 had to be a mistake.

Climate control on the Aston went squiffy, reading 85 degrees C outside, roof refused to operate.

Braced for a wallet-emptying episode, it turned out to be caused by a failed Ambient Temperature Sensor - cost £16 to replace.

Have you tried the lemonade yet though?

There is a reason it is that cheap, it just tastes of chemicals, and not like a soft drink.

There own brand cola is even worse.

Good quality whisky deserves good quality lemonade, or even better, be a man, and drink it neat, as the brewer intended.

Bought a new stainless fan oven today as the old one died last night. £140 didn't break the bank - I paid the same for pocket sized tablet the other week and I'll get more practical use from the oven.

Santa's helper at the Christmas tree shop said to give the tree lemonade instead of water as it helps them retain needles apparently. Not worth a special trip but I don't think I'd baulk at 17p to water the Christmas tree (wasn't keen on spending £1 on Schweppes)

Went into Halfords and picked up a California Scent air freshener £3.99. Got to the till and was told it's 25p.

Got to the car, opened it up and it was rubbish, was only worth 25pmad
