SO rather glibly said 'oh I don't know, get me some perfume, you know what I like' and now I'm panicking because 1. I have no idea what she likes other than most of her perfumes seem to be nearly full and 2. They all seem to be 'floral' in that they're 'fresh' and citrusy instead of a kind of musky smell. I've tried watching what she puts on but she rarely wears perfume day to day so I'm very stuck! Help me Loungers!

She's in her mid 40's if that helps!

Sounds like she has similar tastes to my wife.

Try some of these ...

  • L'eu D'Issey (Issey Miyake) is clean and quite citrussy, quite young though.
  • Rush 2 (Gucci) is sweeter and floral but quite light so not at all overpowering.
  • Fan di Fendi (Fendi) is quite richly floral, but can be a touch overpowering.
  • Infusion d'Iris (Prada) is obviously floral but very grown-up. Possibly a bit old lady.

There is a newish perfume out by McQueen, also Tom Ford perfumes are good.

hallo Klootzak!

Never thought I would write that on the internet.

I would go for Chanel no 5.

The current Mrs PR like Jo Malone, a good range of citrusy type pongs.

Last one I bought was Paul Smith. It's actually not bad.

Classique by Jean Paul Gaultier is my personal favourite smile It has a lovely sweet smell and I love the basque shaped bottles, elegant, classy and feminine. My late husband used to wear Le Male, also by Jean Paul Gaultier. He was always being sniffed and asked what it was by ladies while we were out shopping!

Another vote for Jo Malone here. Mimosa and Cardamom is the current favourite. Nicely presented too.

My other half said exactly the same to me, so I'm thinking out of the box a little - she's getting a Make Your Own Perfume experience day smile That way, she gets perfume and I am in no way culpable if smells like giblets.

Mrs Geeks wears Ghost as an every day perfume. For more special occasions she has a few but seems to prefer Ralph Lauren Romance.

Edit - She is also mid 40's if that helps
