Every thread seems to end up in people bickering and fighting. Not only that people in general seem to be more opinionated, and willing to shout anyone down.
People seem to find it unacceptable that others have differing opinions. Really winds me up.
Why is this getting worse, do you think brexit has really divided the country and people are bitter about it, or are the media manipulating people to dislike/discard people with differing view points.

People are generally getting overly stressed everywhere.
What I find funny about Brexit is learning what bigot means.

So if you aren't willing to discuss with someone how they have issues with high levels of immigration, how it affects them and their concerns, and simply shout them down from your supposed ivory tower of superior intellect as being bigoted, the irony is that you are being a bigot. Well, not "you", but whoever is close-minded.

Nothing to do with Brexit. Pistonheads has been overrun with confrontational people for many years. Goes back to when it drifted away from being just a forum for car enthusiasts. Composite Guru said:
I think its easier to argue with someone when you are behind a keyboard as there is never any real chance of actual confrontation.
If all these people were in a room together things would probably turn out a lot different when face to face.

You had some genuinely unpleasant people on here, who would post something sarcastic/offer nothing of value, and because of their reputation/gender, they would be applauded by the majority.
Also there are a good few on here who take themselves far too seriously or seem to be unable to separate their own personality from that of their car's image.
And everyone appears to be 6'5 tall and 19 stone
