Jeans on Amazon - Recommendations?
Discussion
I would like to get some jeans from Amazon (ive just been given £100 voucher from work).
I'm 38, would like a slim fit, and I would like two pairs.
Whilst being 38 I don't want to dress like a dad, nor do I wish to look like i'm trying to be an 18 year skater.
Levis and Wrangler have lasted well in the past, but are they a bit dated?
Over to you fashion guru's...

You would be better off going to your nearest shopping centre and trying on loads before buying from Amazon. It would save a lot of time/returns.
£50 quid is not much for a pair of decent jeans though, even Levis will usually be more than that.
Nudie are generally good quality and have lots of options.

As already said, £50 isn't an awful lot for a pair of jeans. You can buy jeans all day long for sub-£50, but if you have specifics in mind, you might struggle. I bought a pair of Levi's 505c recently, and they're a decent slim fit. Levi's 511 also comes very highly recommended, but there are a lot of different variations on it, so check the materials: some are a cotton and elastane blend, some have polyester as well. Generally speaking I don't like polyester in jeans, but your mileage may differ.
I know another user (possibly gizlaroc?) has spoken very highly of Replay's 'Anbass' style, so I'd take a look at it as well.
My all-time favourite pair of jeans has been a pair of APC Petit New Standard, but they're quite a bit out of the £50 range unless you get extremely lucky with a pair on the likes of eBay.
Though I've never owned either, I'd suggest looking at Edwin and Nudie jeans as well.

Cheers gents
I've ordered (from Amazon) a pair of Edwin jeans for £55, and a pair of Levis for £40, so £5 left over to buy the missus something for Christmas....
I also found a pair of Edwin jeans for £35 on M&M direct, that price sucked me in, they'll be arriving tomorrow
Just found this thread and my first thought were Edwins. I'm 42 and prefer a slimmer fit but classic straight style. Skinny is a definite no no. I have 3 pairs of Edwins and about 10 pairs of Nudie's.
