Any other good lads not got anyone to buy a xmas pressie for?

Personally I do not have to buy a pressie for anyone as I do not have anyone to get one for.

Feels good that my net worth will be unaffected to be honest.

Bit of a party pooper if you ask me, I'm buddhist so don't celebrate christmas but still buy family presents and go and see them at Christmas, because it teaches to be respectful of other cultures and festivals.

But each to there own ofcourse smile

Pretty sure drowning that sense of loneliness at a bar is gonna cost more then a few presents.

Im not going overboard on anything, but getting the GF and the kids something small is nice, well worth the effect on my net worth

My Sis knows my thoughts re Christmas! I hate it, the whole thing!! Loved it as a kid, realised when older what a crock of st, commercial fk over it now is!!
According to 'reports' the average family will spend £800.00 for the actual day!!
Plus presents!!
I've no idea if that's correct but, believe me, I am not spending that on a 'we just fked you over' load of commercial crap!!
See family for new years day, b/days, christenings, Important Things!

Christmas, fk Off!!!

Why waste more money on a funeral than the bare minimum? It is all superstitious/religious claptrap. You are dead and aren't going to see who, if anybody, is there.

Turn my corpse into dog food, plant fertiliser, etc. I don't give a damn.

I always though the funeral was for those that were left behind - part of the process of mourning and moving on. Doesn't need to be superstitious or religious.

I would suggest that these "good lads" are those who posted in the "Alone at Christmas" thread

or "Can't wait till it's over" thread.

Possibly.

I'm treating myself to some Ebay crap.

What does a non religious funeral look like?
Where do they do the Cremation? Seems most are attached to religious buildings

We had one for my father.

We paid for someone to act as a host/mc type person and family and friends said stuff and we played some music. WE held it in the local council crematoriums. we just booked a double session.

Then a hotel, then a pub, then a restaurant.

Not one bit of religion or superstition, plenty of tears and plenty of laughs.
