Took the kids this afternoon to see the panto at the local theatre. Its great, a full house with all the usual panto stuff. This includes the actors running down the aisles and, at one point, walking across the theatre over seats and people.

Its all great until this guy, a few rows in front, has a massive grab and pinch/feel of one of the actors bums (she was early 20's in a cat leotard). He thinks this is hilarious (as do his family).

This wasn't a push to help her on her way this was a proper grope and pinch of her bum.

We were open jawed in surprise. The actress didn't react and just carried on with the show but it was well out of order IMO and he'd be looking at some sort of police involvement if he'd done that in almost any other situation.

I gave my name and number to the theatre manager and said if she wants to press this I'm happy to give evidence or whatever's needed.

Am I overreacting?

I think that is appalling to be honest. I'm not sure I, personally would have done what you did but still, it's not on. I don't think you over reacted personally, good on you!

What makes him think it's acceptable to do that? Ball bag.

Out of order, I agree, but I think what you did was all you could do. There's no point getting offended on behalf of someone else and taking it further, the actress may not give a fk for all we know.

You reported it because you felt it was not acceptable, the guy did it because he thought it was, nobody knows what the actress thought.

If you think something is unacceptable then you are right to act on it and good on you for doing so as so many don't.

Case closed.

Out of order IMHO and I would have done the same.

Funnily enough, I went to see the local panto on Monday and it was really good - big budget, great effects, lighting, pyrotechnics, a couple of "names", good acting/dancers/singing (but the band consisted of only 3 people which pissed me off - but that's another story).

I was a bit hacked off by how much "blue" content there was TBH - I expected the odd adult joke, over the kids heads, etc., but there was quite a lot of low level sexual stuff (calling a character Willy, etc.) and several bits where I actually felt slightly uncomfortable - eg, a 5 minute shaggy dog story about picking up a girl and heading back to her place etc. told using names of chocolate bars. Not sure who it was aimed at TBH, kids aren't really interested in somebody listing names of chocolate bars and if they did get the references it was totally inappropriate. I am not a prude by any stretch of the imagination but I thought it was way over the top...
