It's been discontinued. However, if anyone misses it and wants to recreate the feeling simple smash the neck of a glass bottle, dip it in chip fat and wipe your hoop with that. Then spread the s
te halfway up your back with a fish slice. When I took my HGV test in 1991 there was some of this in the s
thouse with "government property" written on it.
It was a great idea, using the most least absorbant material in order to absorb something made up of a fair bit of water. Then again, given the crap we were served at school it would have been better to cut the middle man out and chuck the food straight into the toilet.
I also think the use of Izal has beren the reason why so many people of my generation only s
t at home unless absolutely necessary.

Takes me back a bit... Prior to that it was dock leaves, an old bottle brush, or, if you were posh, squares of newsprint torn from last week's issues of the Daily Herald ( after your old man had read them, obviously. And you always had to save the sports pages just in case he hadn't! )
I fear that the withdrawal of this robust multi-purpose resource from the market has resulted in a national paucity of potential technical draughtsmen ( tracing paper ) and fledgling musicians ( comb & tissue kazoo ) in this modern age.
In the same way that the discontinuance of 2oz tobacco tins has left the country's engineers with no storage medium for their nuts, bolts, screws, washers, rivets and split pins.
A sad loss to our proud industrial heritage.

Nothing worse than nursing a bleeding ring piece.....dabbing it gently.......blood on the bog rolll......the chili inflicted agony starts to subside.....
Then you realize you need to go for another dump ten minutes later.....
