Carry on growing my business but make a bit more time for myself. 7 days a week for over 3 years is starting to take it's toll.

Take at least 4 city breaks.

Improve my fitness with a bit of weightloss, excercise and healthier eating.

Attend a few track days and the Nurburgring.

Enjoy life 🙂

Grow my business, shrink my outrageously big stomach and ride my bike to visit distance friends more often.

But did you get that chainsaw rebuilt in 2016? Still on the list?

Finish the first year of my masters

Find a new contract

Lose a bit of weight/increase fitness for enduro riding

Hopefully buy a bigger place and a ktm excf

Managed to visit 9 countries in 3 continents this year which I think might be a new record. Next year would be happy with simply taking the Mrs to Italy for a few weeks and driving around.

Acquiring a mistress would also be nice but maybe I'm over stretching myself there.... biggrin

I've set myself a fair few goals, here's ones I'm willing to share:

- Achieve chartered engineer status (currently working on my application)
- Compete in an autotest
- Do a trackday
- Raise £100 min for the Muscular Dystrophy charity for the Oxford 10k
- Complete 6 laps without walking at Endure 24
- Complete a parkrun in under 21 minutes (stretch target: under 20 minutes)
- Officially register times at 3 different parkruns in one weekend, all under 25 mins (attempting this over NYE/NY Day)
- Reach my house deposit target
- Take my nephew to a motor race

Remember to make your aims 'SMART' people, 'I want to lose weight' doesn't work, 'I want to be one stone lighter by August by going to the gym every Wednesday night' does.

Mine are mainly music-related:

Learn to sing whilst playing guitar.
Complete intermediate guitar course.
Play in public.
Make another steampunk guitar and an amplifier to go with it.

Others:

Lose a bit of belly.
Get a new job.
Clear stuff from garage and create proper workshop area.

1. Overpay mortgage to bring it under £155k before January 2017.
2. Be more consistent with pedometer use and actually record my steps, with aim to hit 10k a day.
3. Cook one new recipe a month (realised recently my range is quite limited).
4. Publish new eBook.
5. Find permanent job as my 2 year contract finishes in August. Although I'll probably be kept on, the nature of a temporary contract means that I'd prefer the security of something permanent.
6. Start process of repairing savings after house buying absorbed all our money.

I think that'll keep me occupied for most of the year!

Complete my CMI diploma. 4 units left and just over 6 months, so no mean feat. This is my priority, but it's via distance learning so has been tough with everything going on at home.

Get fit enough to complete the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge in June. I could have done this easily 20 years ago but now I have started prepping I'm even worse off than I thought.

Earn more or spend less, now I am the sole earner.

Also. Not go bang. Get my head straight.

Get on the weights a bit more frequently, had a bit of an off year on that front.

Also improve my Breaststroke and with the ultimate aim of improving my 100 m Individual Medley. Might be an ask given I knocked about a second off it, totally unexpectedly, last time I swam it. But I know if I can make improvements in Breaststroke more time will come. It's not a stroke I do a lot of and it does need work, so hopefully a realistic target.

Think of a list of worthy goals. Unlikely to achieve that though.

It is indeed rebuilt! She's a big Cold War era Stihl. It was very educational.
