I would like some way for my other half to see how far I am away from home I am when I am riding my motorbike home from work. Does anybody have any tracker apps for my phone that pings off a GPs signal every 5 mins?

Or maybe a GPS beacon thing for my motorbike?

Any recommendations?

What phone is it? Apple have the "Find My Friends" app which you can use to see the location of anyone who agrees to be your 'friend'.

Don't even need the separate app any longer, you can select who you want to share your location with and then click on them and it will show you where they are.

That's very true.

This is a bit difficult when ridding my motorbike haha

I will try and set up find my friends later, I just don't want anyone else to be able to see where I am, just her.

Iphone has a facility to activate and allow someone to track your phone.

You can also download an app called Life 360. Our local Blood Bikes Group use this.

Sure there will be others.

But if it is enabled on your phone, you don't have to do anything to it. Your wife can just look at her phone and it will locate where you are, assuming you have allowed your phone to share its location with her. You can specify whether you want it to be for a set time period, or just, turned on until you turn it off.

And you decide with whom you want to share your location - I only have mine enabled with my wife.

Glympse is also very good. you have to send a 'glympse' before you set off but it will share your location via a web link for the duration you set, and you can set it to expire when you arrive at a preset location.

Already been mentioned but "Waze" is a great app which allows you to share drives. Mrs Buzz and I use it so we know how the others journey home is going and know exactly when to stick the dinner in the oven!
