I'm fairly sure I saw a company advertising a large scale map of your home. If I remember correctly they produce a copy of an OS map but hugely blown up with your home in the middle. Can anyone confirm this is correct and if so where I can find them? I've tried Amazon but I can't think how best to phrase a search.

Thanks.

You could (and probably still can) buy a map centred on a particular spot directly from the OS.

Crikey. Better off finding a second-hand one in a charity shop, and moving house to match the picture.

Used to be able to order (.dwg) OS tiles for fk all. Scale em however you like.

Question is why do you want to see your home on an OS tile lad?

I bought one from OS recently, it's really nice, and about 1m square. But then I found four smaller maps (each 50cm square) for sale at a specialist. They cover the same area, and were printed in the 1960s. So I framed those and stuck them on my office wall.

I suspect that is a pricing error on the OS site as they only charge an extra 20-odd Quid for a frame for the canvas print.

I do remember that the extra cost for a framed map was a lot more than i could get a custom frame for locally.

If you go to www.old-maps.co.uk they have a big archive of maps, including pretty recent ones. There is a 1:250 scale one of this area. £16 for just an A3 print isn't cheap though, especially if you are handy with Photoshop and cut & paste.

Because we've just moved here, it stands on its own and I thought it would make a nice picture, ok lad?
