Bit of a strange question but here goes. Roughly how much would it cost to run a 9W LED bulb over 3 years if it was on 24 hours a day 7 days a week?

Asking on behalf of a neighbour so I don't know what they would be paying per unit of electricity hence asking for a "between these amounts" figure.

Use this;

It reckons about £15 per year at 20p per kWh

24hr x 9w = 216wh/day x 365 days = 78.8kwh/yr x 3 = 236.5kwh.

I dunno what tariff your neighbour's on, but I'm paying 11.2p/kwh = £26.50
