What could have caused this?
Discussion
Went into the garage trhis morning to do some work on the Chim and found broken glass on the floor at the back of the garage floor. I picked up a few bits to find out it was headlight lens. Trouble is, both the lenses were on top of the speaker, and neither had fallen off to the ground or they'd be both smashed.
No signs of someone breaking in to the garage, taking out the first of the lenses from the top of the speaker, dropping it, then neatly arranging the glass as if it shattered in situ on top where it sat originally...
I stood there pondering what could have possibly caused this. Could the magnet in the speaker have reacted to the reflector which sat on top of the top lens (which shattered) and caused it to shatter!? This is the only bizarre reason my clouded mind can muster.

Temperature fluctuation making a pre existing fault in the glass fracture?
Possibly. But there hasn't been enough of a drop in temps to cause that I don't think. But then I'm no 'thermologist' or whatever geek terminology it is.And yes Torque, if you could that would be most kind.
THere is a type of glass that can spontaneously shatter. Not sure if that's what would be in a headlight though.

I'm guessing it's something like this or along the lines of it. There is no other explanation other than it spontaneously shattered and some of it flew onto the floor.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spontaneous_glass_br...
Not cats, mice, birds were in the garage and I shut the door almost immediately after opening the door and turning on the lights.
