I have few regrets and no nostalgia at all, but hindsight is a wonderful thing. I have had a life rich in experience.

-Was thinking what REALISTIC thing could I have done that I missed out badly. ( The eliminates winning lotteries, dating J Lo ( or whoever you fancy),being an F1 driver and so on)....

So, eliminating fantasy, the one thing I could have done that I missed was..........

flying on the Concorde.

It was on my list of things to do in the short term, but never happened.

Any other misses?........

I actually hit a dry stone wall on a Norton 250 and was catapulted across the wall. Landed face first in a cow pat.

Proves I should never have tried a Norton 250 at 12.

Buying a 964 in the early 2000's. One of the partners at my firm said they were ugly when compared to a 993. I couldn't afford a 993 so bought an Audi TT instead...

A friend of mine was and wears a piece of the Berlin Wall as jewellery (in a ring) to this day.

deciding 6 grand was too much more to pay for a GT3RS over a standard GT3 back in the days when nobody seemed to want GT cars .... doh!

I did that. Concorde was cool

There are a couple of ladies I should not have missed out on. Either one of which could have been interesting.

I should have bought that Escort Cosworth for £13k or several Sapphire Cosworths when they were £4k.

Pulling out of buying a 997 GT3RS when I'd a confirmed build. But buying a house for the ex to live in and buying the car seemed too much at the same time.
Should've tried harder at school too.

biggrin

At the age of 15 my friend Sarah was emigrating to Autralia with her family.

"Would you like to do me one last time before I go?"

"No, I respect you too much..."

[/hands in mancard in disgust]

They say NEVER have regrets. They are WRONG!

I would have put my quattro and s1 rst into storage and stockpiled spares while they were still cheap and readily available. I had a big dry cheap lockup at the time too. What a numbnuts.

Did that, paid for with air-miles.

Missed seeing Led Zeppelin live, had the opportunity for Knebworth tickets but didn't go. Oh and not selling my Sun Microsystems shares before they plummeted.

A lot of us have car regrets and I am no exception now that I have seen some of the posts and some memories came back. I have done well on GT3RS purchasing but probably have hung onto my 7.2 RS. However my biggest blunder was not buying a 1955 Gullwing from its elderly original owner in 1996. It was in superb original condition and felt perfect when I drove it. He wanted $200k.............
