How do you read this offer?
Discussion
He has written three volumes on a certain marque
The last of the triology Vol 2 is just out at a cost of £xx.xx plus p+p of £7.50)
However he has also made an offer
The offer reads
To purchasers of Vol 2,I would therefor like to gift a free copy of Vol 1-that is vol 1 and Vol 2 for just the £xx.xx ( plus p+p) while stocks last
To claim this simply get in touch via the website pay the p+p(£7.50 for UK addresses) and wait for the postman
Now when i get onto the website is puts in P+P as £15.00. But i read it as Vol 1+2 for £7.50 P=P
I queried this and his reply is as follows
Hello, I confirm that website is correct as p&p for the 'special bundle' is £7.50 per copy, in your case two books totaling £15.00.
But it is not what he wrote, perhaps i am being a bit pedantic, but i read the first bit as TOTAL p+p as £7.50 and not per volume
Or am i reading the 'offer' incorrectly and have to guess it is £7.50 per vol, although not stated!!

OH FFS
He has written three books vol 1, Vol 2 and Vol 3
They were published out of sequence
Vol 1, Vol 3, then Vol 2
How hard is that?
It isn't hard if you explain it, but it makes no sense if you don't He has written three books vol 1, Vol 2 and Vol 3

I would read that as £7.50 P&P for the order, not per book, but is it worth getting upset over?

It is just the badly worded offer. 7.50 is nothing to raise the old BP, but to advertise it on one page as the offer is X plus p=p at 7.50 then when you go to order it goes up to 15.00 it is bad advertising.
It is a written teeth itching moment
It looks like a simple error to me. Had 'per volume' been included in the offer I imagine you'd have been happy to receive one book f.o.c. except for its postage; I would. It is just the badly worded offer. 7.50 is nothing to raise the old BP, but to advertise it on one page as the offer is X plus p=p at 7.50 then when you go to order it goes up to 15.00 it is bad advertising.

I read it as you would get two books for £7.50 + £7.50 P+P.
EDIT:
After reading it over several times I spotted...
"To purchasers of Vol 2,I would therefor like to gift a free copy of Vol 1-that is vol 1 and Vol 2 for just the £xx.xx (plus p+p) while stocks last"
So yes - Vol 1 is indeed free, but for the p+p, which is £7.50.
Although I'm still a bit confused, as surely it should be Vol 2 (£7.50 + £7.50 p+p = £15) PLUS Vol 1 (£0 + £7.50 p+p = £7.50)
Therefore £15.00 + £7.50 = £22.50.
So, OP - it looks as though you are saving £7.50 somewhere...

They are written by a Mr. Clark, he does two bundle deals:
Bundle1: Vol 1 and 2
Bundle2: Vol 2 and 3
If you buy Bundle1 and Vol 3 it's the same price as Bundle2 and Vol 1, but I think you still need to pay postage on each book.
The OP's question relates of course to Bundle1, looking at the details of Bundle2 it says:
"so as not to disadvantage those many customers who have already purchased Volume One, I have provided this alternative option of Volume Three as a free gift."
which may or may not clarify the postage implications embedded in Bundle1, for the unwary.
So there you are, all cleared up.
