Can someone please tell me how a country with 6 million people can raise it own taxes and support all its services and defence etc

Or is it expecting the remainder of the UK to pay?

Sturgeon is an idiot.

However we only have 6 million people which is a few million less than London alone. We dont require any defence as we arent at risk, we'll just send your nukes back down.
We've helped keep the rest of the UK afloat for many years.
