My Wife returned from China yesterday and brought me this back as a present

It's a little fan which fits in the lightning socket of an iPad.
Unfortunately it doesn't work.
What are my consumer rights?

I imagine it cost somewhere in the region of 10p..... not worth bothering with

You have the right to take it back to the seller if you still have the reciept.

I assume that if you take it back to the shop that she got it from, they might replace it or even refund the 10p...they might not though.

I would book the flight anyway.

I'll check with her.
She also bought me a beautiful pocket watch with the skyline of Shanghai embossed on it with a real quartz movement and a statue of a little boy who pees when you pour hot water on it, a bit like me tbh.

That's a blow, or rather not, in this case.

It's not a fan, it's a turbine. Plug it in, blow like mad and charge your iPad.

Go straight to the top and write a letter of complaint to the CEO!
Send the original by recorded delivery and keep a copy yourself.
You never know you may get a result. A freebie maybe, something useful .... like a single chopstick.

You can write in Chinese can't you?

If not, do a search for the CEO's number and phone him. But be sure to record the conversation.

You can speak mandarin can't you?

Interested in this. I bought one of those LED strips from the frivolous purchases thread for £1.87 delivered (From China)and one of the LED's isn't working. I'm assuming they'll refund all P&P and pay me some compensation for my inconvenience. How should one go about this?
