I answer a call from Red star financial management (i thought to begin with it was an old car insurer with similar name) who enlighten me that because I've had a credit card with a certain provider, I am entitled to a refund for PPI ( WHATS NEW!!)
I explain I've never had PPI and always pay balance in full each month but "apparently" I am still entitled to com-pen-say-shun because by agreeing to terms and conditions I would, had I, gone overdrawn/been charged interest then some of that money would go towards there insurance- or whatever he was waffling about!
If I let them proceed, It will be on a no win-no fee but, a 35% charge if they "win".
So, is there information correct and just by having a card and agreeing to term and conditions, I am indeed owed a "windfall" or are they barking up the wrong tree?
If it is legit, can anyone recommend another company as Redstar have crap reviews and there charges seem on the high side!
Really, I cant be bothered with it but, I fancy some new alloys so if there is cash for grabs, i'll have a little earner!

To answer the OP - NO its not at al guaranteed.
They are just playing the numbers game if they get the details of 100 people they will get some who have signed up for (were not aware of) PPI
In your case you will more than likely just never hear anything or get a brief - sorry you do not have PPI nothing we can do.
Another biggie at the moment is "was your flight delayed" I had great fun arguing with a woman in Man- chas - tar that I traveleed on a made up flight from Heathrow to JFK or was it Kansaas or whatever.
Kept the conversation going for 20 minutes plus while getting more and more surreal telling her about the book I read and how I fancied the girl in the Aisle opposite me etc
Its the little details that add authenticity I feel
