Getting ready for my sisters birthday this weekend and we decided to put up one of those slip and slides in the field next to the house. Luckly theres an outside tap and we have mega log hoses reels and lots of connectors.

decided that for adults this was a little small so got something a little more substancial. I got the lawnmower out and mowed the field to create a lower dip area for this to sit in

big long pieces of wood at the side to keep the water in. The stones will move later

plan is to soap it up keep the water flowing. I have a hose that comes off the reel to spray bits that dry out or that don't get water and use some inflatables to hurl down it this weekend.

All you need to build now is a dam to catch the water and your mission will be complete.
Good effort, I love things like this.
Something to catch the users would be top of my list of things to build, closely followed by a landing pad for the air ambulance. Good effort, I love things like this.
Good luck OP, hope you all have a great day.
Love it!
Excellent work there.
As a child we had one of these (smaller ones) and I distinctly remember being winded when I slipped over on it aged about 7, what a horrible feeling that was!
We also had some family friends who had a swimming pool in their garden, which was next to a reasonably steep banked lawn. They too had a slip and slide, and the dad put some soft mats down underneath it where it crossed the stonework around the pool.
That didn't stop me bouncing over said stone when my attempts to do a Jurgen Klinsman style knee-skid went awry. I still have the scar from that on my right knee.

when made for adults, they are known as a 'slip and bleed'

i suggest you incorporate some of the 'interesting features' from the video above.
my prediction is 3 dislocated fingers, 2 cracked ribs and a handful of lost teeth.

Those big ling pieces of wood are going to hurt like hell when they get hit..... and they will get hit!!
Best remove them before people start flying down that! Once the slide's been used a few times, it will stay in place
At least angle them inwards a bit so someone doesn't nut them face on...Best remove them before people start flying down that! Once the slide's been used a few times, it will stay in place
