An advanced race lands here on Earth...

What do you think they would find utterly ridiculous about our ways?

War?
Trump?
The fact a 50k watch tells the time the same as one for two quid from a petrol station?

A football club has spent £89m on a player so that they can hopefully finish top four so they can qualify for another competition.

Probably pretty much all of them. I suspect the feeling would be mutual.

Or the fact that a £200K car does the same job as a £200 car.

Even the aliens wouldn't think that was going to happen!

They probably wouldnt visit because it would spoil everything for the rest of the galaxy who are watching us, you know in the same way that people watch Eastenders or The Office and laugh out loud talk about the ridiculous story lines and characters to their friends...

What if they do exist and we are just their pets in a giant terrarium that we call earth?

The mass extinction that wiped out the dinosaurs was just the aliens going on holidays and their neighbors forgetting to feed us..

Got to be that one really.

Imagine explaining to aliens that most of the people on our planet believed that there was some invisible supreme being that had created everything.

They would practically die laughing at our stupidity.

Assuming they hadn't done the same in the quest for an explanation / reason for their own existence.

No one would have believed in the last years of the nineteenth century that this world was being watched keenly and closely by intelligences greater than man's and yet as mortal as his own; that as men busied themselves about their various concerns they were scrutinised and studied, perhaps almost as narrowly as a man with a microscope might scrutinise the transient creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water.

Much irony in a way.
