Firstly, sorry about the link. I know we have a long standing feud with the snakes with tits but if you are bored at work, take a look at this.

This is why I will never get married. Mrs and I are happy as we are and just split expenses equally. Sod all that marriage bks!!

Thoughts?

I prefer to grab the low hanging fruit and run it to the end zone.

Either that or I run it up the flag pole and see who salutes.

What's you point? Looks like she is just doing a bit of planning ahead of a split in the marriage. Seems fair enough to me on the evidence of her post, but obviously I'm not aware of all the details.

I couldn't work out DH...I guessed from the context "Stay At Home Mother".

She has no income of her own and 2 kids, she can see it all going tits up. What would you do in her position, wait for it all to go wrong and then take the kids to the nearest homeless women's shelter? Let's just say I hope not. If there were no children, then it's easier, but since there are we all have to be realistic who provides housing and childcare for them.

Absolutely I agree with you but have you read to read the replies?

The house, his savings, his pension and of course child maintenance..

Not to mention this little gem;

"do cashback on every shop to build up a secret cash savings fund".

Come on chaps be fair, look at any relationship thread on PH and this advice is in there in the first ten answers

Take all your cash out the bank, empty the joint account, cut up her joint credit cards, etc etc

Agree secret funds are not on, BUT - similar advice is often posted here.

Sad because Mumsnet has way better thread discipline than Pistonheads?

They've been quite reasonable so far, wait until the really vindictive bhes get on the thread and suggest murdering him and burying him under the patio.

Also what is it with mumsnet and their love of acronyms - it's like reading the option list on a modern BMW/Merc.

Quote of the thread. Unless their weekly expenditure is £700000 or she's planning on leaving him in 2157 I expect she'll struggle to lead a happy life on cash back schemes.

+1

It is quite depressing at times.
