Got informed off EE that an old email address I had used for 20 years is to be closed at the end of May.

Still getting some through, how does that work then ?

It'll no longer exist so will bounce back as undeliverable. Have a look through and if there's anything important, give them your new email address.

edit: just re-read rolleyes how strange that they're still coming through, maybe they have allowed for a bit of overlap time wise???

You can import from your old freeserve inbox to gmail between 12th and 28th June.

Just started doing mine.

Mine has started doing the same over the last couple of days. I guess its something to do with the export facility on there.

I've had a Freeserve address for 19 years, and to be honest I've seen it closing as a relief from the constant stream of daily spam and offers that used to be sent to the address. I've created an Outlook account and only changed the email address on websites that I want to. It will be interesting to see how long it takes to start getting spam/junk/advertising emails to the new account.

To be fair it wasn't recognised by some web site forms that required your email address.
