Hi all

We'll shortly be flying out of Heathrow T4 (with Qatar, to Singapore) with two kids under 6 (I know I know, but it should be a nice holiday once we're there). Given the kids and long haul flights, and the fact that (as far as I can tell) there isn't much to do at T4, I'd like to minimise the amount of time spent in the airport pre-boarding.

What's the seasoned PH fliers' view on a sensible (not rushed, but not hanging about for hours) amount of time to allow for check in at T4 (I've never flown from there before)? It'll be a morning flight (c.9am) on a Saturday in the school summer holidays.

Many thanks

Neal

Thanks - was thinking two hours felt about right. Any other views?

if alone I do 60-90mins max (like this afternoon as it happens)

with the family 2hrs max like other posters have said. security is largely no different to months and years passed at the moment with no real increases in real world times to pass through - this will be mainly dictated by the time/day/week

there used to be a kids play area in T4, i believe it has moved but is still present in there somewhere - its like a small soft play setup which could make it easier to pass the time for them
