PH Board Games Thread
Discussion
Since there isn't one yet, I hereby declare this the official PH Board Games Thread!
My interests range from playing Takenoko, Forbidden Desert and Carcassonne with gazillion expansions with the family to Arkham Horror, Battlestar Galactica, Dead of Winter, Munchkin, Discworld: Ankh-Morpork and similar. Backstabbing or coop with traitor mechanics games seem to work well with our group, and once everybody had few glasses we usually switch to Dixit.
Flicking through the latest issue of the Tabletop Gaming came across The Thing based board game, looks really promising:

I used to quite enjoy board games but spending many a summer cooped up in a static caravan at Mablethorpe or some other equally grotty "resort" as a kid, playing Hero Quest with the family while the rain slamming down turned the place into a giant tin drum kind of took the sheen off it for me.
Scrabble on the phone is about as much as I can handle without breaking into a cold sweat.
