Does anyone else get this? Getting interested about literally anything you see and wanting to know about it? I've always liked maths, but recently I want to know everything about it. A couple of months ago, it was that I wanted to know everything about physics, and a few months before that, it was that I wanted to know everything about chemistry.

I look at pretty much anything I can, trying to learn things, but never feel like I learn a lot about a subject in particular. Some of the things I thought I'd learnt about subjects that interest me I forget, but I always seem to remember useless information that I'll never need biggrin

So does anyone have anything that they're passionate about for a few months and then 'go off' the subject, and is there any tips for retaining information that is learnt?!

It's easy to know everything about everything. Just be 2many2cvs for the day. That is like the oracle.

Thanks to all your replys, md4776, I'll have a look at that.

J4CKO, maybe 2many2cvs is actually Jeff/The Oracle biggrin

227bhp, I like to think of myself as an intelligent bloke, but I don't think I'm quite there yet biggrin

I was going to put it's just about being a bloke, but maybe not wink Anyhow, to expand there are varying degrees, but I think I'm pretty much up there near the top. If i'm going to invest a considerable amount of money into something then yes i'll research the hell out of it so I make the most informed decision about it. It took me 3 hrs of Googling to buy a bar of chocolate last week I'm looking into investing in Gold atm as the economy is about to take a dive (perhaps) so kind of enjoying researching it in any spare time I get.

I know loads of stuff, it's just that I can never remember all of it. When I am eventually prompted to recall a detail it's hardly ever a complete revelation but an internal acknowledgement of "Yes, I knew that already".
So I'm considering my brain to be awesome - just a bit forgetful. thumbup

Anyone who can be bothered to spend as much time Googling stuff and regurgitating it - to that level - deserves a medal, let's be honest.

I'm just as bad, hobbies is another. I'll see a new hobby that takes my fancy then become pretty obsessive about information and then move on. YouTube doesn't help the situation.

I don't think it's bad though, it's great to be able to hold a conversation with many different people.
