Older folk are called sensible things, like David and Victoria.

Then their kids get called silly names that makes them "different" from Bob and Sue.

I found out today someone called their kid Skylar. That might be alright in Holland but not when your native tongue is Essex English luv !

What's the daftest name for a kid you have heard?

Npeter. The N is silent.

Or Blade. On a very middle class white kid.

I have have taught kids called Armani, Sky, Ty'rel and so on. But at least I can pronounce them, I would say probably half the names in a class now I simply can't pronounce as they're not, err, western.

I remember a very middle class Boden summoning her daughters once. They were called Liberty and Lettuce. Perhaps I misheard.

Lettuce was a popular Victorian era name, along with other gems such as Murder.

Perhaps it was Lettice. There was some posh bint playing the violin on BGT with that name.
Still a daft name though

I'd imagine that that name is more "council" than poncy middle class.

I know of a couple of toddlers who have been blessed by their pretentious parents with Otis and India.

Our son was very nearly a Rufus. Fortunately he has a normal (Scotish) name, all my other selections were over ruled on the basis they sounded like dogs or I'd picked them from Planet of the Apes - the original films.
